BMW i7 Chauffeur Journey: From Lyndhurst to London City via Watford – A Grand Tour of the M25
Some days behind the wheel offer not just a great client experience but a true showcase of why hiring a professional chauffeur makes such a difference. This was one of those days.
Our mission: to transport two private clients to London City Airport. The itinerary involved a double pick-up — first in Lyndhurst, nestled in the heart of the New Forest, and then in Watford, just outside the North London boundary. Add in a scenic but complex run across the capital and a challenging return journey, and we had the makings of a full-scale motorway adventure!
The Day Begins in Lyndhurst
Our chauffeur set off early to collect the first client from Lyndhurst. Quiet country roads, an early start, and a fully charged BMW i7 — the journey began smoothly. The New Forest looked tranquil in the morning light, and the ride was supremely comfortable for our guest, who commented on the seamless electric drive and relaxing cabin ambience.
Traffic Tangles Around Heathrow
As we made our way towards Watford, the route intersected with the Heathrow junction on the M25, where traffic was — as ever — at a near standstill. This area is notorious for bottlenecks due to the volume of airport and commuter traffic merging from multiple lanes and directions.
Thanks to careful pre-planning using inRoute and live traffic tracking, our chauffeur was able to adjust in real time and use alternate slip roads to bypass the worst of it. Still, the congestion added a layer of complexity that showcased just how critical an experienced chauffeur is when time really matters.
