The red-brick building, with its distinctive patterned brickwork, is one of the New Forest's recognisable country-house hotels. It's certainly a more interesting place to photograph a car than an airport car park.

Burley Manor dates back to the 19th century and sits beside parkland on the edge of Burley village.
It's a lovely part of the Forest, with narrow lanes, open countryside and the occasional pony or donkey to remind drivers that they're not quite on the motorway yet.
For visitors who have spent a few days enjoying the New Forest, the journey to Heathrow is quite a change of scene.
But there's a flight to catch, and that's where a little forward planning makes a difference.
From Burley, we need to consider the journey out of the Forest, the motorway traffic and the time passengers need at Heathrow for check-in and security.
The M3 and M25 are not always predictable. We therefore recommend a collection time based on the flight departure and expected road conditions, with a sensible allowance for delays.

The E-Class is well suited to longer airport journeys, particularly for one or two passengers travelling with a reasonable amount of luggage.
It's comfortable, quiet on the motorway and has a separate boot for suitcases.
Of course, passenger numbers don't always tell the whole story. Two people heading home after a weekend in the Forest may have very different luggage requirements from two people travelling overseas for several weeks.

Heathrow Terminal 3 handles flights operated by several international airlines, including Virgin Atlantic, American Airlines and Cathay Pacific.
We ask customers for their flight number so we can check the correct terminal rather than relying on the airline name alone.
For departures at Terminal 3, vehicles follow the airport signs towards the drop-off area, accessed via Cosmopolitan Way and Camborne Road.
Heathrow currently charges £7 for each vehicle entering its terminal drop-off zones. The forecourt is for dropping passengers off, with no waiting or collecting arriving travellers permitted.
